Working together with Grupo Flamingo and the Nature Conservation Institute and Forestry, Wodify's portuguese office took one day to clean the area around the Sado River in Portugal.
The river is part of the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve, which is a huge wetland that encompasses marshes, pine forests and wide array of other aquatic and terrestrial habitats.
While rich in biodiversity, this area serves as a natural filter, putting it at a high risk of accumulating pollution. To combat this, we spent the day picking up litter in two separate areas around the river— Pontal de Musgos and Gâmbia. By the end, we’d picked up more than 3,000 liters of garbage in a four-kilometer area. It was a great way to give back!
“It is really great to work as a group together, the team is really fun to be with, It is nice we work for a company that cares that much about giving back to the community and caring about the earth.”
Kaitlin, HR Manager from Wodify
