What is your name and what is your role here at Wodify?

Elli —  product manager

Do you have a nickname in the team?

None that they say to my face! Although some people call me Ellicakes.

Tell us about your academic background.

I have a bachelor’s degree in computer science with minors in math and philosophy.

Where are you from originally?

South Jersey, Deptford-ish. I spent four years in North Jersey during college, and for all the rivalry's worth, they're the same.

When did you join the Wodify family?

May 14, 2015

Why did you apply for the job? What were the expectations about it? Are they fulfilled?

My mom pushed me to move back to this area and I loved that Wodify had a gym right downstairs. Not so I could work out — which I had probably never done at the time — but so I could use and see the product in action on a daily basis. My expectation was to work on a product I had some stake in. That's been met, and then some.

What is your favorite thing about working at Wodify?

Shallowly, the lack of dress code. That would drive me insane on the daily. More seriously though, it's the constant stream of opportunities to stretch my skills.

What’s been the most surprising thing about working here?

I learned I'm not actually terrible at working with people.

Biggest accomplishment in life, so far?

I was named "Outstanding Student in Computer Science" from my graduating class for excellence in academics and service.

What's your favorite thing to do outside of Wodify? Do you have any weird and curious hobby? Tell us about it!

Nothing too weird. I do a lot of crafts and play guitar and piano. I spend too much time reading about unresolved mysteries (and sometimes resolved ones too).

What are your top three bucket list items?

1. See Fiona Apple in concert2. Open a small cafe called Tomat that offers tomato-based foods and drinks3. Tattoo my whole body

Any bucket list items that you knocked off your list recently?

No, nor would I like to knock any off in the near future!

With unlimited money or talents, what would you like to do as a career?

Same thing I do now, maybe just with a better wardrobe. I would also maybe open a brewery if I felt I were skilled at it.

Favorite CrossFit movement? Least favorite?

Ring rows and kettlebell swings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What's your favorite cheat meal?

Chipotle, followed by a box (or two) of Zesty Cheddar Ranch Cheez-It Grooves.

Guilty pleasure song?

Need You Tonight by INXS. But I don't feel like I should be guilty about it!

Television series you are currently watching?

Curb Your Enthusiasm (always) Silicon Valley, Shameless, Portlandia and Big Brother Canada. I watch a lot of TV.

Favorite place you've ever travelled?

I haven't travelled a ton, but I love the Grand Canyon.

Celebrity crush?

Adam Driver or Martin Starr

Favorite video game?

Undertale

Favorite movie, and why?

Toss-up between Repo Men and Gattaca. I like biopunk and Jude Law.
