Meet the Team — Coleen Bachi

Coleen is a soccer-playing mom who also finds the time to head up our Customer Success division. Find out more about her in our latest edition of Meet the Team!

What is your role at Wodify?

I am the Director of Customer Success at Wodify.

Do you have a nickname at the office?

Some co-workers have been known to call me Boss Lady. I don’t know if I want to know about any others.

Where are you from originally?

I grew up in Southern New Jersey, not too far from Wodify’s offices in Cherry Hill. I have lived in this area my entire life.

What is your academic background?

I received a BA in Psychology from The College of New Jersey and a Master’s in School Counseling.

When did you join Wodify?

June 10, 2015

Why did you apply for the job?

I applied for the job because the day-to-day routine in my former job as a high school counselor left me feeling that I wasn’t reaching my full potential. I always wanted to get a job that combined my interests of Information Technology and Fitness, which is my true passion. I can’t believe I pulled it off!

What is your favorite thing about working at Wodify?

I love coming into work and learning something new. Whether it’s getting my hands dirty trying to help a customer with their website or brainstorming ways to improve our support processes, I walk out of here every day having been challenged.

What has been the most surprising thing about working here?

Coming from a school environment, I was accustomed to following the same routines at work, regardless of their effectiveness. At Wodify, we don’t do anything “just because that’s the way it’s always been done.” We’re constantly changing and evolving to meet the needs of our customers and employees, and it’s amazing how quickly we can make effective changes.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in life, so far?

No doubt, being the mom to my son, Charlie.

Before he was born, I’d say contributing to three Division III soccer teams that made it to the NCAA Final Four in three consecutive seasons. Those were the best years of my life.

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of Wodify? Any weird or curious hobbies?

My favorite thing to do is always something active. Whether it’s taking the baby on a hike with my husband and dog, attending a class at CrossFit DT1 or playing soccer on my brother’s league team, if I’m moving, I’m interested!

What are the top three items on your bucket list?
  • Run (and finish) an ultramarathon, which is more than 26.2 miles
  • Be fit for life
  • Learn how to play golf and be good at it
Any bucket list items that you’ve knocked off your list recently?
  • I started a family.
  • I qualified for the Boston Marathon.
  • I became a Head Coach for a soccer team.

Are you a crafty creative, diligent developer or neurotic number cruncher?
With unlimited money, talents, whatever - what would you like to do as a career?

I would be a professional soccer player and/or coach the US Women’s National team.

Favorite CrossFit movement? Least favorite?

Power Cleans are my favorite. Toes to Bar are my least favorite.

Favorite cheat meal?

Pizza or a cheesesteak from Angelo’s in Haddonfield.

Guilty pleasure song?

This is How We Do it by Montell Jordan

What TV series are you currently watching?

I’ve dug myself deep into a hole of watching The Sopranos and I’m not coming out for a few years because it takes me forever to watch TV shows.

What is your favorite place you’ve ever travelled to, and why?

Interlaken, Switzerland. It’s the adventure capital of the world. It has beautiful scenery, ropes courses, canyoning and some scary — but fun —  river rafting courses.

Who is your celebrity crush?

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but it’s Zac Efron.

Favorite video game?

FIFA. I think it’s the only game I’ve ever played.

Favorite movie, and why?

Forrest Gump. I love coming-of-age stories where the main character lives through historical events and changes over time.

What is the one app you can’t live without?

Google Photos. I take so many photos of my son and my dog that I don’t think I’d ever be able to store them all.
