What child doesn’t love Field Day? For Wodify’s Summer 2016 Philanthropy event, the team decided to put together a field day for the children of the Camden Neighborhood Center - mostly for the kids but one can also assume partly to bring them back to their childhood days.
The Neighborhood Center’s main goal is to provide a safe place for children to broaden their horizons, to really give them a space where they can dream a little bigger. They provide at risk children with opportunities for academic achievement, athletic accomplishment, and an arts program to quench their creative thirst. The team wanted to contribute the organization’s mission so they reached out to the Neighborhood Center to plan a day fun in the sun.

Weeks prior to the event, the team spent time planning activities and games for the kids. They came up with relay races, balloon races, tug-of-war, and even rented an inflatable obstacle course for the kids! On the day of the event, things could not have gone better! The children had a great time, the weather turned out to be beautiful, and the Wodify team was more than fulfilled by seeing the smiles brought to the faces of the 85 children that attended Field Day.
The Field Day was so successful that the staff at the Neighborhood Center extended an invite to the team to come back any time! Wodify is hoping to make the Field Day at Camden Neighborhood Center an annual event and they are already brainstorming new games for next summer.
Just imagine what 1% of your time can do for others. The Wodify team gave 1% of their time and came out of the event with 100% fun!
