Families who workout together stay together. That’s why Wodify’s developing gym management software features specifically for families who love getting their sweat on — Groups and Shared Payments.
Each are scheduled to launch in summer 2017, so be on the lookout for their debut. In the meantime, keep reading to learn about Groups and Shared Payments and how they could transform the way families experience your gym.
At Wodify, we’re building our Groups feature to help parents manage their children’s gym memberships — especially for things like booking or checking into class.
Here’s how it works. There are three roles within a Group:
A guardian is the person with Wodify’s login credentials. They manage the account for dependents, who don’t have permission to login to Wodify themselves. Members are people who already have a Wodify account, but can be added to Groups when it makes sense to — like if their family has one.
For example, Sally could use Groups to manage her ten-year-old son’s Wodify account. She could also make her 18-year-old daughter a member, even if she has her own account. This makes it easy for parents to monitor their kids’ activities on Wodify.
Shared Payments is also a great feature for families. As its name suggests, it lets gym members share payment methods with each other.
For example, Mary and her girlfriend Alyssa could use Shared Payments to purchase their gym memberships with the same credit card. After sharing the payment information, Mary can view Alyssa’s invoices in Wodify to keep track of the purchase history on her card.
Couples using one credit card, or parents and kids who workout at the same gym, will find Shared Payments helpful. Used alongside Groups, Shared Payments makes managing family memberships simple.
