Wodify Philanthropy: Associação Juvenil Ponte October 2016

For our second Philanthropy event, our team landed on the opportunity to work with Associação Juvenil Ponte. Associação Juvenil Ponte is a non-governmental organization in Portugal that works to create better opportunities for young children, their families, and the local community.

The team spent the day at Ponte’s headquarters sprucing up the area and it’s surrounding gardens. The goal was to make the headquarters a more welcoming and safer space for the kids to spend their time.

The team was able to get their creativity flowing first thing in the morning by working on a painting project.  They were tasked to paint the walls of the headquarters so they took that as an opportunity to brighten up headquarters using lively colors and designs. From there, the team worked on cleaning up and restoring the gardens to make them spaces where the children would be able to play sports and engage in other outdoor activities.

After all the hard work was put in, the Wodify team wanted to have some fun! The team set up several different activities, such as soccer and handball, and invited the children to join in. Not only was Wodify able to see the impact the cleanup had on the kids during this time, but they were able to enjoy themselves after a hard day’s work!

At the end of the day, the Wodify team is always looking for opportunities to give back. When opportunities arise for the team to give back, they are always willing and ready to give it their all.

Children today are the future of tomorrow. Our team wants to be able to give them every opportunity to shine, why not start with providing them with a safe place to do just that?
