3. Start in your own backyard.

4. But don’t be afraid to look beyond your box.

That doesn’t mean the best candidate is already part of your gym. Though finding an ideal external candidate takes more work, they might offer more coaching experience. Rather than converting a member to a coach, these are people that already have some years under their belt doing this kind of thing.
